1. About This Extension
Sk Solution AePS Manager Auto Monitor is a Chrome browser extension developed by Sk Solution. It helps users read transaction receipt information from supported AePS provider portals and transfer the extracted records to the user’s Sk Solution AePS Manager desktop application on the same computer.
The extension is intended for business users who explicitly enable and configure its monitoring features.
2. Information Processed
When Auto Monitor is enabled on a supported and active portal tab, the extension may process information visible on that page, including:
- Provider and service name
- Transaction ID and bank reference/RRN
- Transaction amount, status, date and time
- Bank name, available balance and terminal/BC/CSP identifier, when present
- The last four digits of an Aadhaar or similar identifier, when detected in the visible text
- The portal page URL
- A portion of the visible page text, up to 15,000 characters, included with the extracted transaction record
The exact fields available depend on the portal and the receipt format. DigiPay has a provider-specific parser. Other configured portals use experimental generic parsing and may not extract every field accurately.
Users should verify extracted records before relying on them for business or accounting purposes.
3. How Information Is Used
The extension processes the information described above solely to identify transaction receipt details and transfer them to the user’s desktop AePS Manager application.
The extension does not need to collect unrelated browsing activity for advertising or profiling. It does not sell transaction records or use them for personalized advertising.
4. Local Desktop Transfer and Offline Queue
The extension sends transaction records to the desktop application through a local connection on the same computer at 127.0.0.1:8765.
If the desktop connection is unavailable, validated records may be temporarily stored in Chrome’s local extension storage and retried while Chrome is running. The queue is limited to 500 records. Successfully transferred records are removed from the pending queue.
Pending records may remain in local storage until they are successfully transferred or otherwise removed. Users should protect access to their computer and Chrome profile.
This extension’s current code does not send these queued records to a Sk Solution cloud server. The desktop application may store or process imported records according to its own functionality and applicable privacy notices.
5. Permissions
The extension requests browser permissions needed for its features:
- Storage: to save settings, status information and pending transaction records locally.
- Tabs and alarms: to monitor the supported active portal tab and retry pending transfers.
- Scripting and portal host access: to read visible receipt text on supported or explicitly configured portals.
- Local desktop connection: to send extracted transaction records to the desktop application on the same computer.
When users configure an additional portal, Chrome may ask for permission to access that portal. Users should grant access only to portals they intend to use with the extension.
6. Data Sharing
Transaction records are transferred to the user’s local Sk Solution AePS Manager desktop application to provide the extension’s primary function.
The extension does not sell or share transaction records with advertising networks or data brokers. The extension’s current code does not transmit queued records to a Sk Solution cloud server.
Users should review the privacy practices of any third-party AePS portal they access and of the desktop application they use.
7. Security and Data Retention
The extension uses a local connection to communicate with the desktop application. The extension’s current desktop endpoint uses loopback HTTP rather than an internet-facing HTTPS service. This local connection is intended for communication on the same computer.
Pending records are retained locally until transfer succeeds or the records are otherwise removed. Users can disable Auto Monitor and remove the extension or clear its stored data to stop monitoring and remove locally stored extension data. Removing the extension may also remove its locally stored settings and pending queue.
The extension does not guarantee that data stored or displayed by a third-party portal or the desktop application will be deleted when extension data is cleared.
8. User Control and Consent
Users control whether Auto Monitor is enabled and which additional portals they configure. The extension is intended to process visible receipt information only for the disclosed transaction-import purpose.
Before enabling monitoring, users should understand what information may be read and sent to their local desktop application. Users should disable monitoring when they do not want the extension to process a portal page.
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the extension’s functionality, data handling or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published on the Sk Solution website.
